Sue Pinnick - Cake Designer

I live on the Wirral and I'm married with 2 children.  Zoe is 9 and Andrew is 7 years old.

I got into sugarcraft when Andrew was a baby where I attended a local night class.  I then had a cake stall for a local craft fayre and I made chocolate tiffin, lemon drizzle, fruit loaves, eccles cakes and scones.

I am currently a committee member for the Wirral Sugarcraft Guild and I arrange the monthly demonstrators.  I also do cake demonstrations too.

I have an article in the Cake Craft & Decoration magazine which is the world's leading sugarcraft magazine (April 2012 issue).  I also have 14 cakes featured in the Party Cakes magazine.

I entered my very first competition cake in May 2012 at the International Cake Show in Telford where I was awarded "Silver"

I offer a very personal service in my own home where you can meet my family and enjoy a slice of cake (if there is any left!) - just give me a ring to book an appointment to discuss your requirements.

I wanted to say thank you to several people because without lots of support from my family and friends, my little cake business wouldn't exist.

I would firstly like to thank my Mum who has been extremely generous and supportive through some very tough years.  I can't thank her enough.

My husband has also been very supportive who puts up with a lot of mess in the kitchen!

My 2 children - well what can I say.  They love eating my cakes and when I finish they do lick the bowl!  Thanks for not touching the finished cakes.

The encouragement I receive from the British Sugarcraft Guild is wonderful, particularly Karen Davies and Marion Frost and the rest of the committee and members.

The person who has inspired me the most is my very good friend Valerie Vaughan who is such a wonderful lady.  I feel very lucky to have her in my life and she has taught me lots of sugarcraft and baking skills.

Lastly, I would like to dedicate this website to my wonderful brother, Peter. (RIP).  We miss you all the time - wish you were here to taste my tiffin.  You gave me the confidence to setup my cake business and give it a go.
